Great White Shark Diving News

The Shark Season at Guadalupe Island is off to its best start ever. Divers have seen as many as SIX Great Whites at one time.

As we return to Guadalupe each year, the sharks seem to be less timid of the cage, approaching it more frequently and closer than years before. Yes, they will show some aggression when going for the baits we set out, but show no aggression toward either the cage or (more importantly) the divers inside it!

Great White Adventures, our partners in shark diving at Isla Guadalupe (they provide the shark handlers and expertise in addition to our regular Solmar crew), have done more than 400 different shark expeditions since they were founded in 1998. Their 100% safety record and incredible experience with Great Whites have been welcome addition to our wilderness cruising itineraries over the last two years.
